Soft and squishy

This is my new favourite yarn. It’s so soft and snuggly and really easy to work with. A good range of colours too

Great Wool Great Service

I have to say, the way Sconch package the Rowan Alpaca soft is the best I've seen. Normally when it arrives, it's been beaten up a bit in transit and is coming out of the ball. When it's sent by Sconch, the wool is squished into a small package, which keeps it secure and prevents it being bashed about in the post - keeping the ball intact. As always Rowan wool is just as nice as you would expect given the price. The Alpaca Soft in particular is wonderfully soft and bouncy. Sconch delivered really swiftly - which is great as I'm always running out of wool mid project and need more ASAP! Overall 10/10 wool and service, would order again.

Packaging

The yarn was squashed into the smallest parcel bag. It would have been so much nicer to pack it into a decent size bag! And I paid a delivery charge for this, wouldn't reorder from this company in future.

I'm sorry you were unhappy with our packaging. We do find in our experience that balls such as Rowan packed in looser bags tend to get bashed around a bit in transit (particularly at the moment with longer posting times!) and so the yarn can arrive damaged. Packing securely means they arrive in one piece. We are however always reviewing our processes and are happy to take your feedback on board.
